Brendan D. Murphy · Author platform · 2026
From chaos to an author platform that's his, inside and out
In short
Brendan D. Murphy, author, client, and my husband, ran his books, ceremonies, courses and interviews on rented tools, spending his time working on whatever came up next. Since March 2026 I've built him an operation he owns, off Kajabi: an author site, pre-order infrastructure, a course platform, Book Club, interview pages and a new paid offering. His second book's pre-order has raised $6,706.80 across 94 orders.
Before, in his words
“I'd just kind of chaotically do whatever came across my attention… Nothing was leveraged.”
“I'd be just constantly just guessing what I need to do next.”
What I found
Brendan had a finished second book, an audience, a masterclass, monthly ceremonies and 23 years of research. Each of these lived somewhere different and had been tacked on throughout many years. He felt like his public presence didn't reflect who he was any more. And it was attracting the wrong audience—he'd evolved over time and his brand hadn't caught up. There were courses and live ceremonies sold via a platform he rented, his Evolve Yourself masterclass on a single unlisted page, and an upcoming book with no way to fund it after the crowdfunding route proved unworkable.
Every new ceremony meant updating the sales page, the event and the emails by hand, one at a time. When he forgot, or was too busy or frustrated by the process to update them, the dates on the page went stale—and stale dates don't sell.
Each offer was an island. Nothing joined up. Someone who heard him on a podcast had no page made for them, so there was no telling which shows brought in readers. A reader who met a term in his book had nowhere on his site to look it up. And his to-do list lived in his head, so each day started with working out what to do. For a visionary, that’s a tough way to work. But it wasn’t a discipline problem; 23 years of research and two 200,000+ word books require a certain type of dedication. It was a systems problem—and the load was sitting with him.
“You look at things from a systems perspective, how it all connects…”
What I built
One connected operation, built in stages since March 2026 and owned by him, with each part feeding the next.
The author site
The centre of his work: his books, 16 articles and growing, and a glossary of 48 terms. New positioning, upgraded branding, and AEO-first infrastructure. Old addresses are either redirected or properly retired, so nothing points to a dead end.

His email list, book checkout and ebook delivery moved to accounts he owns, for $99 a month less on infrastructure. Evolve Yourself moved to a site of its own, where it is now listed and able to attract its own dedicated traffic.
Evolve Yourself
From one unlisted Masterclass page to a full site with a course portal: sign-in by email link, 11 lessons released over 149 days, and a day counter for each member. Ceremony dates now live in one place, so the sales page, the 7-day and 24-hour reminders, and the emails telling people they're due for the next stage all update themselves. This brought admin time down from one hour to one minute a month.

A custom pre-order system for his second book, replacing a third-party campaign and its 5% commission: four bundles, shipping included to 21 countries, refunds that retract whatever an order unlocked, and an alert for every sale.

A private members' room, studio, and a calendar feed, with run sheets for each session that he can print, votes on call times, questions, replays, and check-ins he reads before each call.
Interviews that keep working
43 interview pages, one for each show listeners are sent to, each listing what Brendan offers. 37 have full transcripts, checked for sensitive topics before they go up. Podcast hosts receive a landing page of their own for their listeners, with share graphics, and every signup and sale is traced back to the show that sent it.

Promo clips for his books and offerings, and clips from each of his interviews, made for him and waiting in one place he signs in to.
A search his book points to
The footnotes in his second book say “search X on brendandmurphy.com”, and the exact glossary term comes up first, followed by related articles and interview transcripts.
Searching “soul trap”, a term from his book, on his site. A new offer
Making Sense of Your Experience, launched on 5 November 2026: a 90-minute one-to-one session for people working through a near-death, out-of-body or similar experience, with a written summary afterwards. The glossary pages on those experiences lead to it.

The Making Sense of Your Experience page, with booking built in. Knowing what's next
A task list that fills itself as the work ships and lands in his personal messages, so each day starts with him knowing what needs doing. Peers and hosts to contact are tracked in one place.

A task arriving in his messages, 5 November 2026.
“Persistent and tenacious… you figure out solutions to things where most people would eventually give up.”
What it's like now
“It feels more manageable. It feels like it's doable… A lot of the heavy lifting is already done for me.”
“It frees me up to do more research and writing.”
- 94 readers have pre-ordered the second book directly, and it’s now in editing.
- Ceremony dates stay current without him touching three systems, so the monthly admin that took an hour now takes a minute.
- Interviews come in every week: in his words, he’s now getting “consistent interviews, something every week, at least one. And the shows are getting larger.”
- His days are clear and prioritised, with more room for his writing and research.

What he owns
Brendan owns the sites, the list, the payments, and the fulfilment.
The email tool, the members' portal and the place his clips arrive are mine. They come with the ongoing work because they make it simpler for him, and he can export everything from them if we stop.
